Families are looking for the best life for their loved ones.  They are searching for a community that meets their needs in terms of health and wellness, location, activities, social interaction and support, and their pocketbook.  The decision to transition to a community comes with questions, anxiety, doubt, and sometimes relief.  The cure for stress and anxiety is knowledge.

Our proven process of working with seniors as they transition to retirement community living takes a multidisciplinary approach to identify gaps in their current planning, as well as missed opportunities that when addressed can result in tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in increased wealth over their lifetime.   Providing financial and estate planning advice to these families, and addressing their biggest concerns allows the families to make their decision with clarity and confidence that their loved ones can live their best lives as long as they need, without worry that they will run out of money before they run out of months.  The communities we work with share that integrating a financial plan discussion as part of the move-in process increases the likelihood of prospects becoming converted to residents.

As you’ll notice from my profile attached, for nearly 15 years I’ve been active in working with seniors and their adult children as they manage the transitions that occur later in life.  I believe that financial literacy is achieved by using metaphors to help with comprehension and digestion of financial concepts.  Over my career, I’ve hosted dozens of presentations to seniors and their adult children at corporations, neighborhood senior centers, and various retirement communities, as well as virtually.

Some of the topics I’ve presented on include

  • Women and Wealth
  • More than Money: A Caregiver’s Guide to Planning
