Chicago Chapter Meeting
Zoom Opens at 8:30 am

Guest Speaker this month
Jacqueline Boyd, Founder of The Care Plan
Living Our Values: How to Authentically Embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Senior Care

In the context of a rapidly changing world, values have never been more important. Who we are, who our institutions and communities strive to be is informed by how we articulate and live into our values.  In the wake of COVID19 and the racial reckoning moment we are experiencing as a nation, we have an opportunity to re-examine our values. To apply those values as we make decisions, recruit and retain staff and build an equitable culture.

Jacqueline Boyd is a social worker, entrepreneur, aging, and LGBTQ+ advocate who is biracial, queer-identified, and lives and works in urban and rural communities.  She is the founder of The Care Plan, an LGBTQ+ centered care management and consulting company that utilizes trauma-informed care, racial equity, and healing justice.  In this lecture, she will share insights about how to build values-based institutions to meet the needs of our changing and diversifying world.
