Master Class: The Caregiving Fatigues

March 3 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 12:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely

Caring for a family member is an exhausting, overwhelming experience. We often equate a caregiving experience with compassion fatigue. Certainly, family caregivers get tired of feeling compassion for themselves and their carees. They also experience fatigue as it relates to coping, supporting, deciding and adjusting. During this live one-hour presentation and discussion, you’ll identify which fatigue family caregivers may be experiencing and learn how you can help them feel better. Your instructor, Denise M. Brown, also will share insights from her work studying family caegiver stress.

“GREAT presentation!!,” says an attendee about this program. “That was very interesting and I learned a ton!”

Denise began supporting individuals who care for a family member in 1990, launching one of the first online communities for family caregivers. She provides insights and comfort to those navigating challenging relationships, experiences and situations. She trains former family caregivers and health care professionals to become Certified Caregiving Consultants and Educators.
