Understanding the Path of the Wanderer
February 3 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
FREE
During this workshop, participants
will build knowledge on Alzheimer’s
Disease and explore symptoms
that can lead a person to go out in
search of something outside of their
current setting. Participants will have
the opportunity to explore what it
may be like to walk in the shoes of someone who is
wandering, in an effort to build empathy and insight
into this behavior, and identify signs and symptoms that
can lead to a challenge and strategies to better engage
this individual in meaningful living and provide purpose
to reduce risk and increase safety.
The training offers 2 Social Work Continuing Education
Credits approved by the National Association of Social
Workers (NASW) and the New York State Education
Department (NYSED). The NASW continuing education
program is recognized by 38 states.
